Exhibition, Panel Discussion, and Q&A
Long COVID – We Are Here! is a fearless exploration into the long-haul experience aiming to: Raise awareness; Compel an international, funded research agenda; Advocate for a global repository of open access articles, resources, therapeutics & treatment strategies; Urge widespread physician training and patient support.
Further, Long COVID: We Are Here! unites in solidarity with other debilitating and frequently dismissed syndromes such as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) for increased visibility and support.
Join the artist and scientist curators of Long COVID: We Are Here for a virtual walk through of the exhibition and a panel discussion with participants and esteemed Long COVID medical experts, David C. Lee, MD, Susan Levine, MD, Alice Perlowski, MD, Lawrence J. Purpura, MD.
You Are Not Alone
Long COVID is an isolating and frightening experience, made worse by a paucity of information and medical resources. It helps to know that you are not alone. Listen to these clips from exhibition participants.

“I think one of the challenges has been that I look well like many long haulers do. And so when I see people on the street and they come up to me and they say you look great you must be all better. It’s hard for me to convey how my day really is and the restrictions and alterations to my life that I had to make to be able to get outside for about 20 minutes or half hour.”

“The beginning of my COVID journey was the beginning of COVID in the United States. I became sick on March, 23rd 2020, and was more sick and differently sick than I’ve ever been in my life. I never saw doctor and I never got a diagnosis. My life would be very different right now if I has seen a doctor. But if I had more information and I had doctor’s care I probably would have also had a different experience.”
